Summer day activities for your wife

Dear Stacey,

We’ve been feeling the winter so much this year (our home doesn’t have double-glazing!) so I was thinking of treating my wife to a fun day out to celebrate summer. Do you have any recommendations? We are both in our fifties and we love the country-side, perhaps a hike or a tour or something?

I await your response,

Peter

Dear Peter,

I can identify with you, it has been rather cold this winter! I’m glad that the days are getting longer the sun is shining, it makes all the difference.

I have three great suggestions for you, I hope that they help!

(1) What about a fabulous scenic helicopter tour of Bath and the Cotswolds? This is such a lovely way to see first-hand the effects of the seasons on the natural landscape. The views are sensational and you’ll get star treatment in the helicopter too. I went with my mum for a tour of Stratford-upon-Avon and it was the nicest thing we’ve ever done!

(2) Another idea would be to enjoy a summer, spring and autumn forage course. This is quite an enjoyable day out for the more adventurous types. You will be talked through all the amazing things that the beautiful countryside has to offer and you’ll even be given lunch. It’s a really great day out although I must warn you: you have to be brave because there are no modern toilet facilities in the great outdoors!

(3) Finally, you might consider taking your wife away for a fabulous mini-break to a luxury getaway destination where you’ll both be pampered with spa treatments. The Champneys Forest Mere, a top destination, is surrounded by amazing woodlands and magnificent country walks that will give you plenty of trails to enjoy. This is a really nice option and you can both enjoy top luxury service!

I hope that your wife loves your choice and that you both enjoy your summer day activities!
