I’ve done a photoshoot and makeover myself and it was a fabulous experience, I’d definitely do it again. The best thing is that you always have a few really nice photographs handy for the family albums or those niggling friends who want to do scrapbooking. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that my facebook profile picture is fab-u-lous!
I am looking for a gift for my daughter to congratulate her on completing her recent uni exams. She had a car accident last year and had to write supplementary exams so that she could graduate this year, and despite recovering from a broken arm, she managed to pass with flying colours! I am so proud of her and I want to get her a little something that she might enjoy… something that we can do and not like a spa thing. I originally considered taking her sphereing but I don’t want to risk her getting injured again – do you have any indoor activities that we could both do that she might enjoy?

Congratulations to you and your daughter on her brilliant results! I’m very pleased to hear that everything worked out for her in the end
I have a few ideas that you might enjoy, I’ve listed them here:
1. Why not take your daughter with you to a special jewellery-making workshop where she’ll be able to make a beautiful cluster necklace (with matching accessories!) that she can wear to her graduation? This will be a fun bonding opportunity and you’ll learn a valuable skill in the process too. Here’s a video I found of someone actually doing the class. I love this new-fangled technology! So handy, especially if you are buying something online…
2. Another good idea might be to treat her to a deliciously indulgent chocolate-making course where you’ll both be able to sample some yummy treats while you’re taught all about the ins and outs of the history of the cocoa bean! Learn how to make your own chocolates and even take some home… yum!
3. And finally, while we’re on the topic of sweet treats, you might also spoil your daughter with a yummy cupcake-making class. I have recommended this one before and subsequently tried it myself … delish! It’s heaps of fun and you get to sample everything as you cook (that’s my kind of baking!). It’s really great — I’d definitely recommend it as a bonding experience for novice bakers (and even more advanced kitchen wizards looking for a few more tricks).
The concept of ’sweet 16′ is most often celebrated in the States, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t spoil the girls in our lives on this special day! It’s heaps of fun for every girl to be the belle of the ball and the centre of attention as she entertains her friends and family members in this unique coming-of-age ceremony.
Treat the sweet sixteen in your life to an amazing experience that will really befit a princess like an amazing pamper day where she’ll get to experience the “grown up” delights of a luxurious getaway retreat, or give her a deluxe chocolate facial that will leave her feeling like the Red Queen herself!
You might also induct her into the world of women by giving her a professional make-up lesson where she’ll be given make-up instruction so that she’ll always be able to apply flawless lines for every occasion.
