I was recently on the market for a gift for my mum and I’ve got to say, I’ve found the perfect present! Now you all know how much I love giving people experiences instead of the traditional flowers and chocolates… and you all know how much you love receiving them!! That’s why I thought I would share this idea with you, dear readers, just in case your mum needs a little bit of spoiling on her birthday or on another special day.

So what is all the fuss about?

I’ll tell you what! It’s about the indulgent and decadent Turkish Hamam spa in London! Conveniently close to my home, decadent enough to make a big hullaballoo about mum on her special day, and the perfect opportunity for me to indulge in a bit of Eastern Magic! What,  you thought I’d let mum go alone? ;-)

Best of all, I found a great package that gives you Afternoon Tea (for two, of course) at the Hamam which is right in central London. Doesn’t get much better than that! Check out this video, filmed on location:

Dear Stacey,

I was so inspired by your gift ideas! Thanks a lot, they’re really helpful! I love how you always think outside of the ‘box’. I have a question: my mum is arriving tomorrow morning from overseas and I want to take her out for a night to do something fun and something ‘Londony’ if you know what I mean. She visited London a few years ago so she’s done all the big sights… any ideas?

Hi Eva,

Lucky  you! I can imagine that you are very excited! I’ve actually just been talking to a friend of mine who took her sister out when she came to visit her in London, and I think your situations are very similar. She considered taking her out to a film or to an afternoon tea but eventually settled on a fabulous theatre visit where they went to see Grease.

I loved the Grease movie and let me tell you – the musical is EVEN better! It’s really a great sing-along where everyone gets involved and the audience has a fab time. [And of course everyone knows all the words to all the songs!] I found quite a nice package deal which you can access here and that gives you two premium tickets to the show as well as dinner for two at a top restaurant very close to the theatre. It’s a stunning evening out and you’ll have a great time with your mum!
