Dear Caroline,
I suspect that many people are in your situation at this time of year! Not to worry, your fairy gift mother has it covered
For the price of a box of chocolates you can treat your grandmother to a fabulous gift that she will really appreciate this Easter: a family tree photoshoot. This is the perfect opportunity to get together and celebrate this festive occasion in style! You’ll all be able to coordinate up to four outfits together for a fun look that’ll show up brilliantly on the photographs, and your grandmother will even get a free CD image of her favourite picture.
This is a really nice gift idea that will get the whole family involved (and it’s totally sugar-free if you want it to be!).
Hope that helps,
x Stacey
My grandmother is amazing woman. She started her own business and ran it like a pro for more than fifty years, she had four daughters in the space of three years, and she still has beautiful blonde hair despite her age. I admire her. And that’s also why I feel it is incredibly important to spoil her this year on her birthday!
I’ve started thinking about it early – I still have two months left before D-Day (or b-day, rather!) – but I think it’s important to invest time and effort into finding the right gift so that you can make their day extra special. If you, like me, love the look on someone’s face when they open the perfect gift then it’s well worth the added effort!
The gift that seems to be winning my heart at the moment is a family tree photoshoot. This is a fabulous idea for grandmas because it gets the whole family together for a heart-warming day that is captured digitally for your viewing pleasure! Grandma will get a CD with her favourite picture on it, but the rest of the family will also get a chance to view the images and purchase them if they want. What a nice idea!
Another fab idea that I’m quite keen on is taking her out for an afternoon tea – just the two of us. It’ll give us some time to chat and learn a bit more about each other, and we’ll enjoy delicious pastries, scrumptious sandwiches and butter-laden scones. Mmm, sounds amazing! I can’t say I’ve ever been out alone with my grandmother so this will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for both of us.
So yes, these are the two options at the top of my list, I’m quite excited about both of them! I’ll let you all know closer to the time which one I decided to go with and how it turned out
