So you want to Learn to Fly?
Dreams where you are flying can be magical, but you can learn to fly a real plane when you sign up for a flying experience. If watching the landscape pass below you while you experience your first helicopter flight appeals to you, you may like to sign up for a special flight experience. An experience for two, including a romantic picnic lunch with champagne, can be a wonderful way to celebrate an anniversary or another significant occasion with your spouse or partner.

Try Flying Acrobatics for Some Daredevil Fun

Stunt flying is not for the faint of heart, but if you are something of a daredevil you may love a lesson in flying acrobatics – an experience that will provide you with your fix of adrenalin. An experience operated by qualified and experienced pilots will be safe, and a lesson which includes extensive pre-flight preparation can be enjoyed with less anxiety, if you are a first-time stunt performer. You can also book an acrobatic flying experience for a loved one; anyone who has a love for airplanes and/or extreme experiences is likely to love this gift.

For a Rare Treat, Fly a Vintage Tiger Moth Biplane

You can go on an ordinary domestic flight any day, but a rare experience such as a flight on a vintage Tiger Moth biplane will be an airborne adventure to remember. If you are something of a history buff and fancy yourself something of a flying ace put your prowess to the test. You can whiz around and even enjoy demonstrations of acrobatic flying stunts such as loop-the-loop and barrel rolls. For flight training with a difference, fly a biplane that would meet the approval of the Red Baron himself.

Helicopter Tours Offer a Different View of the Landscape

You may have travelled around extensively via land, but helicopter tours can provide you with an altogether different, exciting view of familiar landscapes. A helicopter flight may be a little noisy, but that is half the excitement – hearing the propeller’s blades turn powerfully, lifting you high over a picturesque scene. A helicopter flying lesson is a great gift for that friend who likes to take charge and experience new things, and a lesson which includes an opportunity to take the controls will provide a memorable experience that is also a great conversation starter.

Microlight Flying – the closest thing to Autonomous Flight

Since microlights are small and light, as their name suggests, they provide you with the closest thing to the sensation of being weightless; the next best thing to the fantastical idea of swimming breaststroke through the air. The speed of flight depends on your wishes, so you can whizz through the air or slow your pace down to a gentle glide, taking in the sights and the rush of having a boundless aerial view. You can book flight training for yourself, or can give a microlight experience to a friend who would love to learn to fly.

Howdy,

I am regular visitor of this website. blog.tellallmyfriends.com is filled with quality info. Do you pay attention towards your health?. Here is a fact for you.  Research presents that nearly 70% of all United States grownups are either obese or weighty. Therefore if you’re one of these people, you’re not alone. Its true that we all can’t be like Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Megan Fox, and have sexy and perfect six pack abs. Now the question is how you are planning to have weight loss? What can you recommend?

Karenad
Hi Karenad,

Yes I agree, our health is of the utmost importance! And it’s good that you mention this at Easter too – everyone is going to be tripping over each other to find the perfect Easter eggs when they could be treating each other with healthy activities that are fun too! There are loads of fun Easter activities that you could enjoy like Sphereing or Zorbing, and there are some healthy food options as well. Here are some of my favourite classes that you might share with a loved one for the perfect Easter gift that is pro healthy living:

Keith Burke’s MARKET FRESH cookery course is a fabulous introduction to healthy eating. You are guided around one of London’s finest fresh produce market to purchase lovely fresh ingredients before heading on to Keith Burke’s (Michelin Star Chef!) kitchen to learn how to prepare them. This is a great cooking course for couples – - I hear that it is heaps of fun!

Another cooking course you might consider is the quick and easy “cook, eat and run” course which is taking the nation by storm. This incredibly popular course is ideal for those of you who don’t have much time to spend enjoying the culinary arts but would like to give it a go anyway… you learn quick and easy recipes that you can cook up in half an hour, and then you sit down with your classmates and enjoy your cooked meal together afterwards. The recipes are delicious and the class has a very friendly atmosphere. Have a quick look at this video to see what I mean:

And finally, my personal favourite is the THAI COOKERY course, also hosted by Keith Burke. If you love Thai food (and I DO!) then you’ll love this course! Keith is friendly and encouraging, the kitchen facilities are superb and the people are all so nice! I had a brilliant time there, I can’t wait to go back! And best of all my new Thai Green Curry recipe is a hit at all of our dinner parties! This is a must do this Easter.

Good luck with finding the perfect Easter Gift, and I hope that you manage to achieve those six-pack abs you mentioned! ;)

Summer day activities for your grandpa

If you’re looking for a fun summer day activity for your grandfather – whether it’s for his birthday, his anniversary or just to say ‘I love you’ – then I’ve got a great list of ideas just for you.

I’ve recently treated my grandfather to a fabulous helicopter tour and I’ve got to say – he loved it! He’s a little bit of a sucker for history and that’s exactly why I got him a scenic tour (rather than one based in London) over the Iron Bridge in Shropshire. He’s still convinced that the pilot who flew the helicopter was a history major because he knew so much about the area ;-)

Another great idea is clay pigeon shooting which gives your grandpa an opportunity to indulge in one of the oldest past times around! He’ll learn how to load, hold and fire a shotgun correctly and he’ll get to practice his aim on hundreds of clay pigeons zinging through the air.

And finally, treat your grandfather to a day he won’t forget when you spoil him with a Segway experience. The Segway is quite a futuristic device that combines the efficacy of personal mobility with zero-emissions robotics. Grandpa will be shown how to ‘ride’ one of these fun Segways and then he’ll get to ‘drive’ it around a beautiful lake track! This is actually a lot of fun – ideal for people of all ages!

Easter gifts for your grandpa

While we’re on the topic of grandfathers I thought it would be a good idea to talk about something else that has been on my mind recently… Easter gifts for grandfathers! However, my grandfather is diabetic which means that he can’t take part in all of the usual Easter egg treats and chocolate indulgences. That means I’ve got to find him something nice that he can enjoy without overdoing the sugary indulgences.

I’ve decided to treat my grandfather to a helicopter tour this Easter. I recently took my mum up for a helicopter tour and we had such an amazing time that it convinced me that everyone should have the opportunity to see the world from an aerial perspective! It really changes the way that you see the world! I’m convinced that my grandfather will love this experience and I think it’s a great way to celebrate the renewal season of Easter.

Hi there. I need some gift inspiration!! :-) Please help: I need a gift idea for my grandparent’s 30th anniversary. Well, to be more specific, I just need one for my grandpa. I’ve already chosen something for my gran. I want to get him out and about so I thought this was the best place to come for ideas.

Alex

Dear Alex,

I’ve recently treated my grandfather to a special day out so I’ve got quite a good idea of the gift-buying task that you’re facing at the moment! Luckily for you, I’ve already done the groundwork and I’m more than happy to share my findings with you. I have three great suggestions that are all going to be a sure win for your grandpa, so have a look through them and see which one you prefer best.

First up I’d recommend a fabulously indulgent round of golf at a top golf course where your grandpa will be able to enjoy the luxurious greens in a gorgeous estate. It’s a great way to get out and about while enjoying some of the finer things in life :-)

Second up I’d recommend a day of clay pigeon shooting where your grandpa will be able to enjoy one of the oldest past times in the English heritage. He’ll love this unusual and exciting day activity and he’ll have a blast! This is such a great anniversary treat for any guy.

Finally, you might give your grandfather an ultra special opportunity to experience what it might be like to fly an aeroplane with a 60-minute flying lesson. He’ll be given basic instruction that covers all the ins and outs of beginner’s piloting and then he’ll get the opportunity to fly the aeroplane for himself under the professional guidance of a trained pilot. This is a truly momentous activity that will provide your grandfather with the perfect way to commemorate his special anniversary day.

Good luck Alex, I hope that you find these ideas helpful!

Gift Ideas for Grandfathers

My grandfather is the most amazing man I know. He has done things and experienced events that I can only dream about, and he’s still going strong at almost 90! It’s his birthday soon and of course I’m on the prowl for the perfect present so I thought I’d share a few ideas with you in case you are in a similar situation.

After heaps of research and quick-thinking, I’ve come up with some good ideas:

At the top of my list is a helicopter tour. I think he’d really enjoy being piloted around his home town in a luxury helicopter and it’s not that pricey either. I think this is a great way to treat friends and relatives who are slightly older because they can sit comfortable in their heli seats and see everything without straining themselves. Besides, there’s always something new to see so it never gets boring!

Another thing I think he might enjoy is a bit of outdoorsy fun with clay pigeon shooting. This is a load of fun and I’m sure that he’ll enjoy testing his marksmanship and his accuracy! While we’re on the topic of outdoors fun, I think he might also enjoy a relaxing round of golf at a top golf course. He does enjoy walking leisurely along carefully manicured greens (he always says that this is his favourite past-time!) so what better way to spoil him than with 18 holes of the finest golf around?

Next on my list is an afternoon tea or a fancy dinner. He likes that ‘old school’ idea of fine dining and it means that granny can go with as well! Afternoon teas are great for grandparents who tire out easily and they’re really yummy too with all their pastries, scones and sandwiches. A dinner is an excellent treat for the connoisseur of fine foods and might be a better option considering my grandfather’s dubious sugar levels.

Now the last thing on my list might catch you a bit off-guard, but my grandfather is a very talented man. And he has always dreamed of being a singer. So … I’m thinking about getting him a day in a recording studio. That way he’ll be able to record his very own single onto a CD which we can distribute to our friends and family and he’ll be an instant hit (with us, anyway!). I’m sure he’ll really enjoy this, and I’ve been into the recording studio before and the staff there are really friendly and encouraging.

Now all I’ve got to do is decide which one would be best! It’s not easy finding a birthday gift for someone who is turning the big 9-0!
