I’ve done a photoshoot and makeover myself and it was a fabulous experience, I’d definitely do it again. I am looking for a gift for my daughter to congratulate her on completing her recent uni exams. She had a car accident last year and had to write supplementary exams so that she could graduate this year, and despite recovering from a broken arm, she managed to pass with flying colours! I am so proud of her and I want to get her a little something that she might enjoy… something that we can do and not like a spa thing. I originally considered taking her sphereing but I don’t want to risk her getting injured again – do you have any indoor activities that we could both do that she might enjoy?

I have a few ideas that you might enjoy, I’ve listed them here:

1. Why not take your daughter with you to a special jewellery-making workshop where she’ll be able to make a beautiful cluster necklace (with matching accessories!) that she can wear to her graduation? This will be a fun bonding opportunity and you’ll learn a valuable skill in the process too. Here’s a video I found of someone actually doing the class. I love this new-fangled technology! So handy, especially if you are buying something online…

2.  Another good idea might be to treat her to a deliciously indulgent chocolate-making course where you’ll both be able to sample some yummy treats while you’re taught all about the ins and outs of the history of the cocoa bean! Learn how to make your own chocolates and even take some home… yum!

3. And finally, while we’re on the topic of sweet treats, you might also spoil your daughter with a yummy cupcake-making class. I have recommended this one before and subsequently tried it myself … delish! It’s heaps of fun and you get to sample everything as you cook (that’s my kind of baking!). It’s really great — I’d definitely recommend it as a bonding experience for novice bakers (and even more advanced kitchen wizards looking for a few more tricks).

Yes I agree, our health is of the utmost importance! And it’s good that you mention this at Easter too – everyone is going to be tripping over each other to find the perfect Easter eggs when they could be treating each other with healthy activities that are fun too! There are loads of fun Easter activities that you could enjoy like Sphereing or Zorbing, and there are some healthy food options as well. Here are some of my favourite classes that you might share with a loved one for the perfect Easter gift that is pro healthy living:

Keith Burke’s MARKET FRESH cookery course is a fabulous introduction to healthy eating. You are guided around one of London’s finest fresh produce market to purchase lovely fresh ingredients before heading on to Keith Burke’s (Michelin Star Chef!) kitchen to learn how to prepare them. This is a great cooking course for couples – - I hear that it is heaps of fun!

Another cooking course you might consider is the quick and easy “cook, eat and run” course which is taking the nation by storm. This incredibly popular course is ideal for those of you who don’t have much time to spend enjoying the culinary arts but would like to give it a go anyway… you learn quick and easy recipes that you can cook up in half an hour, and then you sit down with your classmates and enjoy your cooked meal together afterwards. And finally, my personal favourite is the THAI COOKERY course, also hosted by Keith Burke. If you love Thai food (and I DO!) then you’ll love this course! Keith is friendly and encouraging, the kitchen facilities are superb and the people are all so nice! I had a brilliant time there, I can’t wait to go back! And best of all my new Thai Green Curry recipe is a hit at all of our dinner parties! This is a must do this Easter.

I’ve come up with three fantastic Summer Day Activities that are ideal for the special girl in your life. She’ll have a blast this summer with gliding lessons, water skiing and segway adventures!

Gliding lessons are the perfect way to welcome in the summer sun as you soar through the air like you’re flying on a paper jet. I’ve personally not tried this one before but my brother has and he says it’s amazing. I found this video so have a look and see what you think:

Water skiing is a fabulous way to take advantage of a warm day as you learn to stand up and ski along the water’s surface. It’s really quite a blast! Water sports are starting to become incredibly popular as the weather warms up so be sure to book your slot and spoil your daughter with a fantastic experience she’ll never forget!
