I’m taking full advantage of the Bank Holidays this weekend and tomorrow night is officially the first friday night of the weekend. That means I’m going to paint the town red! OR, in this case, possibly pink …

I’m going to see Grease! tomorrow night!

I know, I know – who needs to see the same production twice? But if (like me) you’ve already seen this hit musical, you’ll know exactly why I’m keen to take on a second viewing. It was fabulous: the sets were amazing, the costumes were spectacular and the atmosphere in the theatre was electric! The actors had everyone up and singing like there was no tomorrow and we all left the theatre itself feeling completely elated

SO the point of my ramblings today? If you’re looking for a sure-fire way to spoil your wife with an amazing gift that she’s going to remember for years to come, treat her to front row seats at this memorable event. I’m going to share the good deal that I found with you … who knows, I might see you there tomorrow night! THIS deal gives you to tickets for £83.00. What’s so special about that, you ask? Well, that might seem like normal price to you, but what you don’t get with your ‘normal price’ tickets is a delicious meal from a top London restaurant! Being the deal-hunter that I am, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to take out one of my friends that I haven’t seen in agggges. He has recently moved to the UK and it’s a fantastic opportunity to catch-up in style over a yummy dinner and then to sing the night away with a fun rendition of everyone’s favourite musical! Your wife will love this!

I recently found a cupcake class advertised on voucher codes type of website and it had been ’slashed’ to £179. It was a one day only special that entitled you to two hours of yummy cupcake making and let you take home your finest creations. I was almost sold! That sounded truly lovely! I mean, who wouldn’t want to spend a leisurely Sunday morning making, icing and tasting delicious cupcakes?

But then I did a little Google search. Oh, my good friend Google! Because before I knew it, I had found another cupcake class that offered the same great value at a considerably discounted rate – - only £38.00!  Naturally, I jumped at the opportunity and I’m now enrolled in this coming Sunday’s delicious Easter extravaganza and I can’t wait! I love getting inspired by new baking ideas and techniques, it’s really useful to have somebody else’s input. The best thing about this class is that other people get involved as well (up to 15 participants per class) so there will be loads of idea sharing this weekend!

Yes, so the point is this: if you’re looking for something fun to do that’s delicious yummy, or you want to get that successful feeling associated with finding the perfect bargain, or you just want to spend some quality time with someone special doing something you love, then this cupcakes class is definitely going to be a hit! I was going to invite a friend with me but then I decided to go it solo so that I can make the most of the classroom situation and get some really good baking tips from some fellow food lovers. I’ll update you next week to let you know how it goes!

This weekend I had to attend a friend’s 30th birthday party and I got her one of the gifts that I loved when I got it. In fact, this was the gift that inspired me to start writing about “finding the perfect gift” because I’ve always loved getting people the perfect present but I had never actually experienced it myself until very recently… when my sister bought me a ‘makeover and photoshoot’ gift. Now I’m not exactly a front-page diva nor am I particularly obsessed with the limelight so I wasn’t anxious to redeem the voucher. But, my sister thought I should do it. So I did.

And it was amazing.

I learned that it’s definitely not only for up-and-coming celebrities, and also that it’s not only for those people who love posing in front of the camera. It’s just a chance to be you and to relax as the professional photographer captures the kind of pictures that define you as your own unique individual Now, before I start sounding too much like a motivational speaker, I’m sure that you want proof…

Just have a look at my “about me” page (I’ve inserted the picture into this post too)! That’s me, posing nervously in front of a set that has been styled to look like the outdoors! It was supposed to highlight the ‘natural’ aspect of my personality… I think it turned out rather well, don’t you?? Although the irony is that I was going through a blonde moment at that time so I’m not thaaaat natural With all of these online social networking sites you want to be certain that you have the nicest picture displayed because you never know who might be seeing it!

Yes I agree, our health is of the utmost importance! And it’s good that you mention this at Easter too – everyone is going to be tripping over each other to find the perfect Easter eggs when they could be treating each other with healthy activities that are fun too! There are loads of fun Easter activities that you could enjoy like Sphereing or Zorbing, and there are some healthy food options as well. Here are some of my favourite classes that you might share with a loved one for the perfect Easter gift that is pro healthy living:

Keith Burke’s MARKET FRESH cookery course is a fabulous introduction to healthy eating. You are guided around one of London’s finest fresh produce market to purchase lovely fresh ingredients before heading on to Keith Burke’s (Michelin Star Chef!) kitchen to learn how to prepare them. This is a great cooking course for couples – - I hear that it is heaps of fun!

Another cooking course you might consider is the quick and easy “cook, eat and run” course which is taking the nation by storm. This incredibly popular course is ideal for those of you who don’t have much time to spend enjoying the culinary arts but would like to give it a go anyway… you learn quick and easy recipes that you can cook up in half an hour, and then you sit down with your classmates and enjoy your cooked meal together afterwards. Keith is friendly and encouraging, the kitchen facilities are superb and the people are all so nice! I had a brilliant time there, I can’t wait to go back! And best of all my new Thai Green Curry recipe is a hit at all of our dinner parties! This is a must do this Easter.
